Determination of habitat desirability is one of the important pillars of management and conservation of plant species and wildlife. Suitable habitat will have a significant effect on survival and species reproduction. Identification of the determinant factors for native establishment of vegetation in area can help to efficient management of rangelands. With the development of statistics science and geographic information systems, the determination of habitat prediction of plant species using modeling approaches has become easier. So, this study has done with the purpose of modeling and prediction of habitat Astragalus gummifer map using Ecological Niche Factor Analysis in Kadkan watershed in the Khorasan province in 2021. For achieving this, environmental map variables (physiographic, soil and climate parameters) were prepared using GIS techniques in cell size of 10 x 10. Using the stratification-random method, 40 sampling points and species presence were recorded. After preparing the layers, the analysis was performed using the factor model analysis of ecological nests. The results of the model showed Influential environmental variables such as A.m.t, Aspect, Ec, Slop, Soil clay percentage and TNV have been used. The values of marginalization factors are 0/81, specialization is 2/53 and tolerance of 0/39, which shows that Astragalus gummife has a relatively high tendency to live in very marginal and special habitats in terms of marginalization and occupies different nests than the whole study area. Also, the evaluation of the model using the Cross Validation 0.81 indicates high accuracy model of Ecological Niche Factor Analysis for Astragalus gummifer in the study area. Investigating the ecological characteristics of plants that play an important role in livestock forage production and soil conservation can be effective in their conservation and restoration. Based on the results of this study, it is possible to determine the habitats with the distribution of Astragalus gummifer and identify areas susceptible to cultivation of this species.
